Trying to explain someone why you are OBSESSED with travelling?
Sometimes, we may meet other people with a surprise when they don’t share our passion for travelling and exploring the globe. Remember: We may be equal but we are not created equal! We probably tend to convince those people about our passions and that can create some discomfort. Why would you even try to convince someone to change his or her views?
Instead, talk about your passion and wrap up some of the hundreds of reasons why someone need to travel more often:
It will broaden your horizons
Apparently, there’s no doubt why this is supposed to be a no-brainer. Travelling will broaden your views and your perceptions. Literally about everything. From the everyday activities to cultural norms and political and philosophical views: Different regions are shaped by different cultures, norms and traditions. Once you come back home, you will understand some things even better!
New cultures will be deeply anchored in your heart
When I returned to Europe from Southeast Asia, although I have an Asian background, I literally feel that some things have changed so dramatically. It’s not that something in your home country has changed. But you have changed. You bring new impulses and new impressions back home. And to your mind and your soul.
I often say that home is not narrowed by your place of birth, your hometown, the town you grew up as a kid. Home is where you feel a strong sense of belonging. And even though it may be against your will to go back home to your home country, those places will remain home in your heart. Deeply anchored.
