In our ongoing series, we presented a various of ways (check out this and this article) to ensure that you can travel more often, if you want to. In this article in our series “How To Travel More Often”, we would like to provide you with another “travel hack” that might be interesting to you.
Guess when most people travel around? Exactly, when there’s holiday time. It’s a well-known fact that most people choose their adventures during those times when all the rest has holidays as well. If you are father or a mother who is dedicated to explore the globe with your children, then this is probably not an option for you.
But if you travel alone, with your significant other or with close friends, then this one is definitely an option worth to consider. Choose off-peak seasons over on-peak ones! It may sound to easy but as a matter of fact, prices are significant lower for you, both in terms of flight fares as well as accommodation. Take for example our article about Lisboa where we not only had a great time but enjoyed the whole week with sunshine and no crowds (of course, beaching wasn’t an option for us but that was not our primary focus).
Here’s another fact: If you choose your travels in an off-peak season, you can support the locals there as well! A lot of destinations do heavily rely on the tourism and travel industry and they are most happy to welcome you if you come when no one else wants to come during that time.
Carefully consider what you want to get out the most of your travels. Not all travels during the off-peak seasons are created equal. If you want to relax and have some fun at the beaches at the French Rivera or at the West-Australian coast in Perth, then travelling in the summer is probably the best and only option for you.
Once again , preparation and planning is everything. You are likely to get more necessary information in the long-run here on our portal about your desired destinations. So, stay tuned with us!
